Rosario's Pizza, Roselle
We have been going to Rosario's since the early 's when they were carry out only. When their new restaurant opened we thought we'd give it a shot. I must say I was disappointed. The restaurant is now trying to be more upscale which isn't necessarily bad but not what I expected.
We were seated at a very small table for two right by the kitchen. After about five minutes of kitchen staff bumping into me we asked to be moved to the outdoor patio which was beautiful. The service was pretty slow and wait staff unattentive but when we commented on it the manager stated several called in sick. I understand that happens so no big deal. On the way out we noticed we were charged more for our entrees that if we ordered them for carryout but at that point we were ready to go. The food wasn't the best but given the fact a bunch of people called in sick that day, we understood.
If this was my first experience, the rating would have been two stars. I tried ordering pizza from another neighborhood pizza joint, Frankie's PIzza, and it was abysmal.
So I was a little afraid to do the same thing at Rosario's, but there was no need to be worried. The sauce was heavenly and decidedly Italian, the sausage was substantial, and the onions were tender. And they cut it in squares like my mother prefers. Wanted something different than the usual Chicagoland big chains. Was not disappointed. Their new location is very nice and great place for family or group outing. They have a nice patio to enjoy the weather as well. These were huge, the wing sauce was spicy but not overwhelming and well presented.
We each had different dishes—Alfredo, Italian Beef and one of their thin crust specialty pizzas.

Pizza Hut Employee Reviews
It pays some bills. In a typical day, you could make anywhere from 60 to orders. The store itself was small so theres less room than necessary for all the employees to get around efficiently. The day would be filled with making orders, retrieving ingredients, communicating effectively with the whole staff, handling customers both good and bad, placing orders, washing your hands a million times quite necessary for food safety reasons.
I've learned that no matter where you go, there will always be challenges to overcome, and obstacles that will make those harder to accomplish. You have to shape your team into a unit by building rapport with your team while also building them up by coaching them through their mistakes and exaggerating their successes to build their confidence. The management culture has changed greatly since I started working at Pizza Hut. In the beginning management was very laid back, and did not make any little issues into big deals as long as numbers were good and the store made money.
After the recent purchasing of the store, the management has flipped entirely, becoming very particular and demanding while doing their best to remain positive and maintain positive working relationships with the staff. The workplace culture is very fluid. Depending on whos on that shift things can be great or difficult.
People working together can have disagreements than cause a rift between parts of the staff. People regularly get their feelings hurt and react in a way that causes morale to drop. It takes a lot for me to keep my head on straight and deal with these customers effectively. Some people yell, some people throw stuff. The best part of the job is when I get real time face to face -positive customer feedback.
Hearing someone tell me I do a great job, and my cooking is why these families keep coming back is and always will be a delight that lifts my spirits.
